Today on my walk I noticed the smell of the lumber yard I pass routinely, the smell of fresh wood was very pungent, they must have just gotten a shipment in or something. It was quite nice as I love the smell of wood and it added an earthy quality to the air.  Often it is easy to overlook or not notice the change of scent with fresh air, however by walking the same route, I have been noticing little unique aspects of the environment. It was nice to be reminded about the little things that can go unnoticed daily.  There is much value in being present within my surroundings as it was soothing being around the quietness and hush of the lumber yard except for the aroma flowing from it to make its presence known.
